Hebrew Language Placement Exam

Students with previous Hebrew language experience should take the placement exam before enrolling in a Hebrew course.  For placement into a section of Hebrew, please take the on-line Exam. You can also contact the Language Center at [email protected] directly.

Scoring for the exam is as follows:
If you scored 30 or less, you should enroll in a first year course, Hebrew 1001.
If you scored 50 or more, you should enroll in Hebrew 2001.
If you scored 80 or more, you should enroll in Hebrew 3001.
If you had a perfect score of 88, you should consider taking a higher level Hebrew course, Hebrew 4001. Please consult the coordinator of the GW Hebrew Program about it at the beginning of the semester.
