Mary Catherine holds an MA in Classics from the University of Maryland (2024), an AB in Classics from the College of Charleston (2021), and a BM in Violin Performance from the University of Denver (2016). The foundation of Mary Catherine's research, like her academic background, is interdisciplinary and her research interests include theory, reception, and comparative studies. Her recent master's thesis applies feminist care ethic theory to Marcus Aurelius and Fronto's correspondence. In the past year, she has been recognized as a National Italian American Foundation fellow (2023-2024), awarded for outstanding academic achievement in Classical Studies by the Classical Association of the Middle West and South, and awarded the Italian Cultural Society's De Luca Young Classicist award (2024).
