Patricia Craig holds a BA in Classical Philology from the University of Dallas. She is a PhD Candidate in Greek and Latin at The Catholic University of America, where she also earned her MA. She studies the exchange of ideas among philosophers and poets in ancient Greece and Rome, from Plato’s time through the Early Christian period. Seneca’s tragedies are her current field of research and the subject of her dissertation. She has taught elementary and intermediate Latin and Greek at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; speaking the ancient languages is an important part of her pedagogy. Summer courses and conferences at the University of Kentucky have allowed her to develop fluency in speaking Greek and Latin.  She has also taught seminar courses in Humanities at CUA, covering authors from Homer and Sophocles to Dostoevsky. At The George Washington University, she teaches Latin and Ancient Greek, as well as Greek history and mythology.
